Too Much of a Good Thing

I used to never quite understand why graff writers got so pissed whenever someone else threw a name up next to theirs. I figured it was just some pseudo-gang-banging territorial bullshit. But then a fellow by the name of MEAT explained to me that it’s not necessarily about territorial pissings; it’s more about not drawing too much attention to a spot and having the whole thing get buffed.

Witness that railroad bridge over the intersection of I-45 and I-10 in Houston. Some of the tags on that thing had been riding for years. Until last week, that is, when they all got buffed. The works had been stagnant forever, but then a few weeks ago Team Victory went and tagged the hell out of the bridge, no doubt redirecting the buff monster’s eyes off the road and up into the sky.

And now it’s all gone.

exactly i was so dissapointed to see all those tags go especially since its been there for yrs, but after it was buffed Tv crew went back the following weekend and tagged it again and then in a couple of days it was gone again. that spot is pretty much dead now. what a waste. the railroad crossing overpass over I-10 going west has been getting more attention from the buff monster too.

ITS GRAFFIT GET OVER IT…IF IT WASNT FOR THOSE TOYS IN TV CREW THE GOOD WRITERS WOULDNT STAND OUT. BUT AS FAR AS THAT SPOT BEING DEAD…NAH ITS MORE LIKE THAT SPOT JUST NEEDS A BREAK! BESIDES ITS GOOD HAVING UPDATED SHIT OUT HERE, INSTEAD OF HAVING FADED ASS PIECES.
