‘Biggest Loser’ Strike: Photos from Calabasas
Several dozen crew members from ‘The Biggest Loser’ are on strike and have been picketing outside the King Gillette Ranch, where scabs and fatties have continued filming the reality TV show. The striking workers wanted health care, job security and union recognition. When the production companies said nay, away walked the workers and in came the scabs. As each car drove up, the strikers greeted them with chants of “Shame on you!” and…
“Think of your family!”
“Think of your future!”
“You have no future!”
“You’ll never work union!”
The workers are supported by the International Alliance of Theatrical and Stagehand Employees (IATSE), the Teamsters, the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO and the California Labor Federation, AFL-CIO. IATSE International President Matthew Loeb (pictured above in the blue and tan jacket) flew in from D.C. this morning.
